About Breezy Golf
Breezy Golf is one of the fastest-growing golf apparel brands in the country, built at the intersection of
golf culture, comedy, and commerce. As part of the Bob Does Sports media ecosystem, Breezy sells
direct-to-consumer through Shopify and through a growing wholesale/B2B channel. The brand moves
fast, and it needs marketing that fuels the next stage of growth without losing the voice that got us here.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Marketing to own the full marketing system at Breezy Golf from
customer acquisition and retention through to the campaign and creative strategy that makes people
fall in love with what we make.
This is a growth-led leadership role. The majority of your accountability sits with performance and
growth marketing: paid media, revenue planning, analytics, and profitability. But it is not a single-
channel job. You’ll also lead brand and lifecycle strategy, guiding the eCommerce manager on retention,
and directing the creative team and an outside brand consultant on campaigns. You won’t produce the
creative or run every flow yourself. You’ll set the strategy, lead the people who execute it, and hold the
whole system accountable to profitable, durable growth. You report directly to the GM and are
measured on business results, not vanity metrics.
What You’ll Own
Revenue Planning & Targets
• Translate our top-line revenue goals into a clear, channel-level marketing strategy, the core of this role.
• Set and manage the metrics and targets the team runs against (AOV, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS, MER) and translate them into the traffic and spend required to hit them.
• Maintain strong command of full contribution margin: advertising and discounts, partnering with the operations and product team, who own the supply-chain side of those economics.
Growth & Paid Media
• Own paid acquisition strategy across Meta, Google, and emerging channels; manage media buyers and our outside agency against CAC, MER, incrementality, and blended business performance, not platform ROAS alone.
• Audit spend continuously and make rapid, informed adjustments.
• Build rolling forecasts and coordinate the promotional calendar, modeling margin impact before approvals and running post-promotion analysis.
Brand, Creative & Campaign Leadership
• Own campaign strategy end to end: what we go to market with, why, and when.
• Oversee the in-house creative team, who originate creative direction; serve as the final approver, judging creative against growth data and strategy.
• Build a repeatable creative-testing system: briefs, winning hooks and angles, fatigue and iteration, and coordinate drop and seasonal rollouts across paid, organic, email, and SMS, aligned with product and inventory timing.
Retention & Lifecycle
• Guide and mentor the eCommerce manager, who owns email, SMS, loyalty, and lifecycle execution.
• Set retention strategy and hold the function accountable to repeat-purchase rate, LTV, and returning-customer revenue.
Analytics, Reporting & Team Leadership
• Establish and own core KPIs (CAC, LTV, ROAS, MER, contribution margin); lead a weekly growth review and maintain a concise scorecard with accountable owners.
• Set clear expectations for media buyers, agencies, the eCommerce manager, creative team, and outside partners; build operating rhythms, and recommend when to hire, outsource, or automate.
What We’re Looking For
• 7+ years in eCommerce, growth, or performance marketing with a track record of profitable scaling, including 3+ years leading strategy, teams, or agencies.
• Strong command of Meta Ads, Google Ads, PMAX paid economics, and attribution, with experience managing significant monthly ad budgets.
• Solid understanding of contribution margin, CAC, LTV, and eCommerce financials, and proven ability to build forecasts and communicate performance clearly to leadership.
• Experience managing agencies, media buyers, and creative or lifecycle partners.
• Bonus: hands-on with Shopify, Attentive, and Tableau; apparel, accessories, or lifestyle brand background; experience in a founder-led environment; and a genuine feel for modern golf culture.
