ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you passionate about travel, sales, and helping others succeed? Avoya Travel is looking for a Brand Sales Specialist to drive growth for top travel brands while supporting a network of more than 2,200 Independent Advisors across the country.
In this exciting role, you'll serve as a brand expert and trusted partner, helping advisors increase sales through training, coaching, webinars, and sales support. You'll build strong relationships with supplier partners, create engaging educational content, and develop strategies that drive bookings and revenue growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Growth & Sales Performance
- Drive revenue growth and increase booking conversion rates for an assigned portfolio of supplier brands, as designated by the Manager of Brand Sales.
- Improve conversion of Avoya Live Leads by equipping Independent Advisors with compelling offers, product expertise, and effective sales strategies that increase booking success.
- Analyze brand sales, lead volume, booking activity, and conversion performance to identify trends, opportunities, and barriers to closing business.
- Develop and present regular performance reports, forecasts, and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Identify, implement, and recommend sales initiatives and best practices that increase supplier brand market share across the advisor network.
Advisor Education & Sales Enablement
- Develop and deliver live webinars, virtual training(s) and on-demand educational content focused on product knowledge, itineraries, competitive positioning, and effective sales techniques.
- Conduct one-on-one consultations and coaching sessions with Independent Advisors to support specific sales opportunities and strengthen brand expertise.
- Create and distribute clear, engaging advisor communications, including promotional announcements, sales tips, and product updates.
- Train advisors on the effective use of Agent Power, supplier travel agent portals, and other sales tools to improve efficiency and booking success.
- Contribute brand-specific content and insights to network-wide programs and communications, including recurring advisor education initiatives.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships and Marketing teams to develop and execute campaigns, promotions, and incentive programs that drive sales performance.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on supplier marketing materials, digital content, and sales resources to ensure alignment with advisor’s needs and customer demand.
- Serve as a trusted brand advocate by communicating sales trends, advisor feedback, and market insights to supplier partners.
Events & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Represent assigned supplier brands at company-sponsored events, including Avoya Travel Events, regional events, and supplier-hosted functions as needed.
- Partner with internal teams, including the Contact Center, Early Success, Strategic Partnerships, and Marketing, to ensure consistent brand messaging and advisor support throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Support departmental initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Assist with other tasks and/or special projects as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or supplier partnership management within the travel industry with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding revenue and sales goals.
- Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to confidently engage audiences in both virtual and in-person settings, including hosting webinars, delivering training sessions, and conducting one-on-one advisor consultations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive, and engaging communications tailored to diverse audiences.
- Solid knowledge of cruise, river cruise, and land vacation products, as well as an understanding of the independent travel advisor and host agency business model.
- Ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and foster productive relationships with independent business owners, supplier partners and others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret sales, booking, lead, and conversion data and translating insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, booking platforms, and sales enablement tools, with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies.
- Experience using Agent Power, supplier travel advisor portals, or comparable travel industry platforms is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Ability to identify sales opportunities, develop strategic initiatives, and execute plans that drive advisor engagement and revenue growth.
- Strong computer systems skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to collaborate effectively with other employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
- Ability to handle situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment.
- Ability to maintain productivity and confidentiality in a remote or hybrid work environment, including:
- Minimal distractions
- Reliable internet connectivity
- Ongoing communication with leadership
- Reliable childcare/eldercare when applicable
- Professional appearance and presentation in both virtual and in‑person meetings.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in sales, preferably with a host agency, travel agency, cruise line, tour operator, and/or other travel supplier.
- Associate’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experienced in training, coaching, or presentation to a sales audience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Travel International and/or National up to 10% as needed.
- Ability to work a varied schedule as needed to support department needs and deadlines.
- If remote, ability to receive and setup company laptop, 15” monitor, keyboard, headset, and mouse (all less than 5-lbs each).
- Ability to work in a primary stationary job from a laptop computer (ability to accurately type, read, review, write, etc.).
- Ability to speak English clearly, in a friendly manner, and at an appropriate volume over the company’s provided phone system, Microsoft Teams, or in person as needed.
