The RCM Billing Representative is an entry-level to intermediate individual contributor responsible for accurate and timely invoice creation and claim submission for home infusion services.  

This position is full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. 

We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Review open delivery tickets and prioritize daily billing activities 
  • Generate and submit accurate invoices and claims in a timely manner 
  • Process secondary insurance and copay assistance claims after primary adjudication 
  • Identify billing discrepancies and escalate trends to leadership 
  • Complete account correction requests within established SLAs 
  • Resolve payer rejections for clean claim resolution 
  • Adhere to payer, regulatory, and internal billing guidelines 
  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate alignment with organizational mission, values, and culture in all interactions 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma OR GED 
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of medical billing, collections, OR accounts receivable experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat OR Nitro Pro Platforms
  • Ability to work full time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. 

   

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, NDC, HIPAA 
  • Experience with explanation of benefits
  • Knowledge / experience with pharmacy / medical terminology 
  • Knowledge / experience with multi-claim databases and OR clearing house platforms 

   

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
