If so, the Manulife AMCS Centre of Excellence wants you! The Associate Manager, Absence Management Consultative Services (AMCS), is responsible for a team that administers strategic, best-in-class disability case management.  Reporting to one the Directors of the AMCS COE, the Associate Manager is accountable for the effective leadership of an AMCS operational team. This includes the support and application of effective disability and client relation management practices.

Your responsibilities:

  • Inspire staff to achieve great group disability results.

  • Hiring, developing, and retaining industry top talent.

  • Proactively monitor workflow, overall service delivery, and conduct performance management  

  • Ensure effective disability management practices are appropriately utilized

  • Collaborate with the overall disability management team to deliver on exceptional client relations.

  • Meet and connect regularly with clients through a variety of communication methods – in person, telephone, email and participating in presentations as needed.

  • Utilize data to identify trends and areas of improvement.

  • Foster a continuous improvement culture.

Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology, treatment and/or physical/mental functional ability assessment

  • Knowledge of Group Disability and best-in-class case management practices

  • Completion of post-secondary education in health sciences field

  • Experience in establishing and fostering healthy client relationships

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, technical training, and/or developing people

  • 2+ years of work experience in a clinical setting in a health-related field

  • 3-4 years of managing health recovery absences

  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of duty to accommodate and Privacy & confidentiality legislation

  • Driven by passion to do what is right

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Salary range is expected to be between

$70,500.00 CAD - $117,500.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
