Backend Developer

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join the Consultec team. You are passionate about designing and developing scalable, secure, and maintainable backend applications. You are a strong problem solver who can translate complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions and thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments.

This is a remote position.

Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory, as the role requires frequent communication and collaboration with international teams and clients.

You will:

• Develop and maintain enterprise backend applications and services using .NET and Java Spring Boot.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable REST and gRPC APIs.

• Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code following software engineering best practices.

• Apply object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.

• Build and maintain scalable data access layers and integrations with relational and non-relational databases.

• Integrate backend systems with internal and external enterprise applications and services.

• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Ensure backend applications meet security, performance, scalability, and reliability standards.

• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.

• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards and practices.

Ideally, you'd have:

• At least 3 years of relevant backend development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# and Java Spring Boot.

• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.

• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.

• Experience with API integrations and enterprise integration patterns.

• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.

• Experience with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework and Hibernate/JPA.

• Understanding of authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern software delivery processes.

• Understanding of security best practices for enterprise backend applications.

• Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud and/or multi-tenant SaaS environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience working with distributed or global teams.
