What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and maintain Shift Markets' existing automation testing infrastructure.

  • Build, maintain, and expand automated end-to-end test suites.

  • Develop new automated test cases using Playwright and TypeScript.

  • Collaborate closely with QA and Engineering teams to improve product quality and testing efficiency.

  • Help design and implement API testing capabilities and automation frameworks.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort through automation.

  • Investigate test failures and improve test reliability and platform stability.

  • Recommend improvements to automation frameworks, tooling, and testing processes.

  • Contribute to quality assurance best practices across the organization.

  • Leverage AI tools to improve productivity, testing workflows, and engineering efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • +- 2 years of hands-on automation testing experience.

  • Experience building, maintaining, and expanding automated test suites.

  • Strong experience with Playwright.

  • Working knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of end-to-end testing methodologies and automation best practices.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve productivity, development, or testing workflows.

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Playwright and TypeScript in production environments.

  • Experience implementing API testing or API automation frameworks.

  • Familiarity with GraphQL testing and validation.

  • Experience with test reporting tools such as Allure, ReportPortal, or similar platforms.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

  • Experience working within SaaS, FinTech, or product-led technology environments.

Why join Shift?

  • Join a growing global technology company at the forefront of digital asset infrastructure.

  • Take ownership of a critical automation function with real impact on product quality and engineering efficiency.

  • Work alongside experienced QA and Engineering leaders in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

  • Gain exposure to modern automation practices, AI-powered workflows, and cutting-edge technology.

  • Have the opportunity to shape the future of automation testing within the business.

  • Enjoy a culture that values ownership, innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth.

  • Build a career path that can evolve alongside the growth of our automation capabilities.

This is a full-time remote position. Preference will be given to candidates located within or near European time zones to support collaboration with the wider team. Strong English communication skills are required.

If you're passionate about automation, excited about AI, and eager to make a meaningful impact within a fast-growing technology company, we'd love to hear from you.
