What we’re looking for

  • Leo Berwick is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate, US M&A Tax to support the execution of US M&A tax diligence projects from our India location. This role will support US stakeholders on live engagements by reviewing data rooms, organizing and tracking information requests, identifying documentation gaps, and assisting with the preparation of reports, agendas, and other transaction-related deliverables.

What you'll do

  • Review data rooms and source documents to organize and track tax and transaction-related information
  • Support Information Request Lists, trackers, schedules, data books, and summary tables
  • Identify missing information and follow-up items for the U.S. team
  • Assist with diligence agendas, report drafting, formatting, proofreading, and consistency checks
  • Perform tick-and-tie and validation checks across reports and supporting analyses
  • Support internal and client-facing presentation materials as needed
  • Work closely with U.S.-based senior team members to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution across live engagements

What you bring

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • CA, CPA, MBA, or similar designation preferred
  • Big 4, Big 8, or professional services experience strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage deadlines
  • Comfortable working remotely with global teams in a U.S.-facing support model
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel to Canada and the U.S.
