Job Description

The Associate Account Executive drives provider and parent growth across Texas by helping launch a fast-growing platform for kids’ activities as one of the first local sales hires. In this high-impact, entrepreneurial role, you pitch and sign up leading camps, after-school programs, and children’s activity providers, while building local awareness and encouraging parent engagement. You work directly with the founding team, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are motivated by making it easier for families to find and book great activities for their children.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new activity providers and build a strong pipeline of potential partners, including summer camps, after-school programs, classes, and other children’s activity organizations.
  • Conduct outbound outreach through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to introduce the platform, deliver compelling sales pitches, and close providers to join.
  • Manage the full sales funnel using CRM tools, tracking and organizing leads, documenting interactions, and reporting regularly on sales activities and progress.
  • Own the end-to-end sales process from initial contact through signed agreements, consistently aiming to hit or exceed individual sales targets.
  • Coordinate closely with onboarding teams to ensure a smooth handoff for newly signed providers and set them up for early success on the platform.
  • Serve as a local brand ambassador, representing the platform with professionalism and enthusiasm when engaging with parents, providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Collaborate directly with the co-founders to achieve local market growth goals, share feedback from the field, and support broader expansion initiatives.
  • Engage proactively with local businesses and communities in and around Houston and other Texas markets to strengthen relationships and drive adoption.
  • Work occasional weekends and travel by car to meet providers and attend relevant events as needed to support growth and relationship-building.
  • Contribute to a culture of high performance and high compassion, bringing a genuine interest in education and youth programming and a strong desire to make life easier for parents and providers.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 1+ years of outbound sales experience (C2C, B2B, or similar) strongly preferred, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding individual sales targets.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or partnership roles, ideally within a startup or marketplace environment (preferred).
  • Demonstrated comfort with outbound selling, including email, phone, and in-person outreach to prospects.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to build trust with both providers and parents.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches and explain value propositions effectively.
  • Energetic relationship-building skills and a self-starter mentality, able to take initiative and work with autonomy.
  • High level of organization and the ability to manage a robust pipeline of prospects while tracking activities in CRM tools.
  • Genuine interest in education and youth programming, including childcare, elementary school programs, or children’s activities.
  • Ability and willingness to communicate frequently and build long-term relationships with providers and families.
  • Motivation to work at a startup pace, embracing a dynamic environment that is not a punch-in/punch-out role and requires proactive ownership.
  • Strong drive to win and a desire to make parents’ and providers’ lives easier through thoughtful solutions.
  • Based in Texas, with the ability to focus on the Houston market and travel locally to meet providers as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in childcare, elementary school programs, or children’s activity organizations is preferred and highly valued.
  • Background in sales, customer service, account management, or business development, particularly within technology platforms or marketplaces, is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience working with camps, after-school programs, or educational organizations is an advantage.
  • Comfort working closely with founders and early-stage teams, contributing ideas and feedback to shape local growth strategies.
  • Enthusiasm for joining an early-stage company, growing with autonomy, and advancing as the organization scales.
  • Alignment with a culture that values both high performance and high compassion in daily work.
  • Interest in a role that focuses on impact and relationships rather than purely maximizing revenue at all costs.

Work Environment

This role operates in a fully remote work environment within Texas, with a strong focus on the Houston market and flexibility to be based in Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, or other locations in the state. You work from a suitable home office or quiet workspace that allows for professional phone and video calls, consistent outreach, and CRM usage. The position offers autonomy typical of a startup environment, with a fast pace, evolving processes, and close collaboration with founders and a small, mission-driven team. Occasional weekend work and local travel by car to meet providers and attend community events are part of the role. The culture emphasizes making a real impact for families, supporting high performance and high compassion, and providing clear incentive-based compensation with commissions paid monthly based on results.
