The Role
This is an exciting and challenging role and an excellent opportunity for a 3+ year PQE lawyer. You will be passionate about progressing your career within a global firm and will play an active role in supporting the ongoing growth of the practice.
You will advise clients on large projects such as M&A of regulated businesses, regulatory change and cross border expansion working with our lawyers in the UK, Europe, US, Canada and Australia.
You will be able to develop your expertise over the full spectrum of UK financial services regulation, with particular opportunities to build or deepen experience in wholesale financial services alongside payments and consumer finance. You will work on a range of engagements, including advising on authorisation and structuring of regulated businesses, regulatory compliance, regulatory change, launch of new products, and multi-jurisdictional projects. You will advise on cutting-edge financial products, evolving regulatory frameworks and complex matters where there is no obvious precedent.
You will support clients throughout the full financial regulatory process, including obtaining licenses, developing compliance and risk management systems, drafting product materials, and get involved in transactions, business reviews and regulatory applications. You will also support clients with remediation exercises and liaison with regulators.
You will develop your skill set to build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development and thought leadership at an earlier stage than most firms, raising the profile of the team and firm externally.
