Assistant Vice President - Tehnology.TECH-Data Management

Assistant Vice President - Technology will play a pivotal role in One Data & Analytics department. Will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data pipelines, both real-time and batch, and leading the organization in implementing strategic data engineering solutions. With a deep understanding of our core systems and retail banking operations, this individual will ensure data-intensive systems across our various markets are optimized. Our core functions span a range of platforms, including Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Realtime Streaming. Successful candidate will develop new requirements, estimate efforts, design effective solutions, and manage data architecture and resources to deliver critical applications that influence key bank management decisions and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
• Create and implement data strategy, architecture, and best practices.
• Lead the organization in making strategic improvements to data engineering solutions.
• Have a strong understanding of core systems and retail banking operations.
• Manage and optimize data-intensive systems across UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and other markets.
• Develop new requirements for on-premises and cloud data lakes.
• Estimate efforts, design solutions, and manage data architecture for efficient data management.
• Handle change release management and resource allocation for data projects.
• Deliver critical applications that influence bank management decisions and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in leading data strategy and architecture.
• Expertise in core systems, retail banking systems, and data-intensive applications.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, and other relevant data platforms.
• Experience with business intelligence, advanced analytics, and real-time streaming platforms.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to estimate efforts, design effective solutions, and manage resources efficiently.
• Understanding of data security and compliance regulations in the banking industry.
• Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach to complex data challenges.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management.
