The Area Rooms Controller is responsible for auditing reservations, ensuring accuracy in room assignments and billing across multiple properties. They will also maximize revenue through inventory management and coordinate closely with regional teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Embark on an extraordinary journey as Area Rooms Controller across the Northeast with Auberge Collection, where your role transcends boundaries and becomes a captivating symphony of hospitality. As the Rooms Controller for multiple properties, your commitment to excellence will unfold on a grand scale, ensuring that each reservation reflects the pinnacle of luxury unique to each property. As the Resorts’ Rooms Controller, duties will entail many facets of auditing reservations for the properties. Ensuring accuracy of room assignments, billing needs, and other tasks, you’ll work closely with the regional Reservations Team, Operations Teams, and Sales Teams.
Monitor email inboxes for incoming bookings, modifications, and cancellations emails, completing steps regarding Synxsis reservations
Review all reservations made for quality, accuracy, and follow up on inaccuracies to ensure reservation is correct for arrival, assigning room numbers where applicable
Review daily cancellation reports, processing accurate refunds where applicable, and informing the specific property for awareness
Review upcoming reservations for accuracy, while completing remaining deposit balances
Maximize revenues through upgrade opportunities and balancing inventories daily, ensuring straight line availability is present for all properties
Work closely with Revenue Team and Reservations Leadership to monitor length of stay restrictions, opening up availability when applicable to maximize occupancies
Review upcoming Group Rooms inventory for accuracy, and communicate with GRC and Sales Teams when necessary
Maintain accurate, relevant knowledge of all properties within the region, room types, experiences, rates, and property specific details
Add information to guest profiles such as previous stay experience, special occasions, preferences, and other pertinent information with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Share relevant guest information to the pre-arrival teams to ensure a personalized guest experience
Aligning check in/check out for reservations, Back to Back, to help avoid guest glitches- FHR, etc
Attend daily meetings as deemed appropriate by Area Director of Reservations
Periodical deposit ledger maintenance for the properties
Performing other administrative tasks as assigned by the Area Reservations Leadership Team
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor and to conduct personal behavior in a mature and professional business manner while representing the company
Keep department heads informed of any issues so as to ensure prompt correction and ensure guest satisfaction
Required
Exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
Google Suites proficiency
Opera experience
Pleasant, articulate, and professional phone and email demeanor
Personal Skills
Ability to speak clearly, confidently, and thoughtfully to best represent the property
Ability to work independently with self direction and with a team remotely
Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at once
Ability to make acute decisions that support resort operations
Ability to professionally represent the resort, and interact with other teams and clients in a polished, responsible, and timely manner
Ability to communicate information to operational departments accurately and in a timely manner
Knowledge of Auberge Collection culture and New England region a bonus
Timeliness, reliability, and sense of urgency in handling tasks
