Position Summary

The Area Business Manager will represent FMC’s market-leading crop protection portfolio across Northern Wheatbelt of WA. You’ll maximize revenue, profit and customer satisfaction by building strong relationships with retail partners, agronomists and growers, and by executing smart, localized sales plans.

Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Northern Wheatbelt of WA (Northampton to Moora and Wongan Hills)

The Role

  • Deliver territory sales growth via local initiatives, promotions and commercial offers.
  • Manage key accounts: negotiate terms, plan growth, and create long-term value.
  • Enable and support agency partners (training, stock stewardship, rotations).
  • Partner with technical specialists to run extension activities and launch new products.
  • Representing FMC at field days, farmer meetings and industry events.

The Candidate

  • Degree in Business/Commerce or Agricultural Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: Proven B2B sales/account management success in Ag or Ag-Chem. Proven experience in FMCG, industrial, or adjacent sectors are considered.
  • Strong negotiation, planning and pipeline discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across retail networks and end users
  • Comfortable working autonomously across a large territory; proactive and organized.
  • Aligns with FMC values: Integrity, Safety, Sustainability, Respect for People, Agility, Customer Centricity.
  • Driven, results-oriented, commercially smart account manager who thrives on ownership and execution.
  • B2B sales/account management skills and a passion for the Ag sector.
