SUMMARY
The Architect – Hybrid Cloud is responsible for designing and leading enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions that meet client requirements and align with established technical standards. This is a senior architecture and solution design role requiring broad expertise across compute, storage, virtualization, backup/disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud technologies.
The Architect serves as a trusted technical advisor to clients, leading technical assessments, solution discovery, proof-of-concept activities, architecture discussions, and solution presentations. The role requires strong technical depth combined with excellent client-facing communication and executive presence. The Architect will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, secure, and successfully implemented.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the architecture and solution design of enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Conduct technical assessments, discovery sessions, and infrastructure evaluations to understand client requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop solution architectures, technical roadmaps, diagrams, design documents, implementation plans, and technical recommendations.
• Lead proof-of-concept (POC) activities and technical validations for proposed technologies and solutions.
• Present technical solutions, architecture recommendations, and roadmaps to clients, technical teams, and executive-level stakeholders.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into practical and scalable architecture solutions.
• Act as a senior technical advisor during client and sales engagements, providing consultative recommendations based on business and technical needs.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Engineers, Project Managers, and Delivery teams to ensure architectural consistency and successful implementation.
• Provide technical guidance during implementation, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and architectural challenges and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure proposed solutions align with industry best practices, organizational standards, security requirements, and compliance considerations.
• Support solution development across:
o Compute and server infrastructure
o Enterprise storage
o Virtualization
o Backup and disaster recovery
o Hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Maintain strong awareness of current infrastructure, virtualization, storage, cloud, and data protection technologies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering and delivery teams.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, technical standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, solution design, architecture, or related technical roles, with significant experience in enterprise architecture and solution design.
• Strong experience designing enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical assessments, architecture engagements, POCs, and solution discovery activities.
• Strong hands-on technical foundation across multiple infrastructure domains, including:
o Compute: Dell PowerEdge/OpenManage, HPE ProLiant, Cisco UCS/Intersight
o Storage: Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade, Dell PowerStore/PowerMax/PowerScale, HPE Alletra/Primera, NetApp
o Virtualization: VMware VCF/Broadcom, Nutanix
o Backup & Disaster Recovery: Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity
o Hybrid Cloud: Enterprise hybrid cloud infrastructure and integration
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architecture, distributed systems, security, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery principles.
• Broadcom/VMware VCF expertise is highly preferred.
• Pure Storage and Dell infrastructure experience are highly preferred.
• Strong client-facing consulting experience with the ability to engage both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to confidently present technical recommendations and architecture decisions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and technical recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, delivery, sales, project management, and client teams.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple architecture engagements and priorities.
• Willingness to travel when required.

• Certifications are preferred but not mandatory when the candidate demonstrates strong architecture experience, technical expertise, and client-facing capability.
