AI Summary

The Amazon PPC Manager will own and optimize marketplace ad strategies for Amazon and Chewy to drive profitable customer acquisition. They are responsible for weekly performance reporting, testing new ad formats, and collaborating with internal teams to align ad spend with inventory and promotional calendars.

📍Location: Global / Remote
📈 Reporting to: Head of Growth & Retention
💚 Role type: Contract / Full-time

The Amazon PPC Manager will own Amazon & Chewy as profitable customer acquisition channels - growing new-to-brand customers and repeat revenue at or below our target CAC, while proving which of that growth is genuinely incremental.

📒 Your responsibilities:

  • Execute the marketplace ads strategy - own the performance and growth of Wuffes’ marketplace ads, with a particular focus on Amazon and Chewy. You’ll develop the media plan and deliver strategies that drive efficient customer acquisition.

  • Own weekly reporting - with the help of the data team, you’ll deliver weekly reports with in-depth analysis of metrics like ACoS, New-to-Brand and CTR.

  • Drive innovation and growth in paid channels - test emerging ad formats, placements and beta programmes (Sponsored TV, DSP, off-site retail media), identify keyword and category whitespace to expand into, and continually challenge platform-reported metrics to ensure spend is genuinely incremental rather than harvesting existing demand.

  • Collaborate with wider business - partner closely with Product, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Marketing to align ad spend with inventory position and promotional calendars, pausing or scaling ad campaigns ahead of stock-outs and new launches, and ensuring ad creative, copy and keyword targeting stay consistent with brand representation across channels.

✅ What you bring:

  • 5+ years in Amazon Ads, spending $1m+ across Sponsored Products, Brands, Display and ideally DSP. You read a number and ask what produced it - which campaign, which placement, which search term.

  • You have a point of view on account structure. Single-keyword ad groups vs. thematic, manual vs. auto harvesting, how aggressively to negate, when to consolidate for the algorithm and when to isolate for control. You can defend your choices.

  • You test with discipline. You set the decision rule before the test goes live - metric, threshold, duration - and stick to it, rather than calling a result after four days because the trend looks good.

  • You're skeptical of platform-reported numbers. You treat them as a claim, not a fact, and assume attribution flatters the channel until proven otherwise.

  • You optimize to margin and LTV - and you'll make the case for a worse ROAS when the unit economics justify it. You think in TACoS and contribution margin, not ACoS in isolation. Subscription-brand experience is a strong plus.

  • Bonus: hands-on Chewy or off-site retail media experience, or time in supplements or pet.
