This position is hybrid and will require 3 days on site at one of the following Quest sites: Secaucus, NJ or Schaumburg, IL. Remote: This position can also be 100% remote if not located near a hub within certain criteria.
Pay Range: $110,000-145,000, plus yearly bonus.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The Web and Service Server Administrator (WSSA installs and administers your Epic web and service servers. The individual is involved in configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring and maintenance. This role is part of the Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) group.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., using PowerShell) to streamline routine tasks, system deployments, and monitoring.
- Proactively analyze performance data to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact system stability and user experience.
- Own the end-to-end health, performance, and security of Epic web and service server infrastructure, from initial deployment to ongoing maintenance and optimization.
- Managing print queues and Epic printing infrastructure
- Monitoring network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniques
- Performing file system management
- Installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs
- Installing and maintaining administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of your Epic system
- Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues
- Assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals
- Applying platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web server components
- Responding to emergency and after-hours issues
- Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources
- Collaborating with your technical teams and Epic to ensure proactive support Epic Staffing Guide 41
- Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks
- Participating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activities
- Maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity
- Following vendor and Epic best practices for hardware and software configuration
Qualifications
Required:
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows server administration
- Expertise in virtualization platforms such as Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi, or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with hardware or software load balancing solutions such as F5 BIG-IP or NetScaler
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) administration; Network protocols and functionality including TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP
Preferred:
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for system administration and automation.
Work Environment:
- Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the manager to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in computer science or information science or related or equivalent experience. (Required)
