Wu Pediatrics is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in Temple City, CA. Responsibilities:
- Process and post patient and insurance payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Submit and follow up on medical insurance claims to ensure prompt reimbursement
- Identify and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments through appeals and resubmissions
- Monitor aging accounts receivable reports and take action on outstanding balances
- Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and families regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records in the practice management system
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of accounts receivable or medical billing experience, preferably in a pediatric or primary care setting
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10 coding, and EOB interpretation
- Experience working with medical billing software and EHR/EMR systems
- Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes, including Medi-Cal and commercial payers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for patient-facing and insurance interactions
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or billing certification (CPC, CMRS) a plus
