Accounting Specialist

This is a remote position.

Supply Mavericks is re-imagining how hospitality companies purchase the products they need to operate.

We are growing quickly, and as the business gets bigger, our financial operation needs to become stronger, cleaner, and more disciplined.

That is where you come in.

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist who loves accurate numbers, organized systems, solving problems, and taking ownership.

This is not a role where you simply enter transactions and wait for someone to tell you what to do next.

You will help run the day-to-day financial operation of Supply Mavericks.

You will work closely with company leadership to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, vendor bills, customer payments, cash reporting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.

You will help us answer the questions that matter:

Are customers paying us on time?

Are vendors being paid according to the right terms?

Are our margins accurate?

Are our accounts reconciled?

Is cash moving where we expect it to?

Are there financial problems we need to solve before they get bigger?

Most importantly:

Can leadership trust the numbers?

We use Zoho Books and the broader Zoho One platform. Experience with Zoho is helpful, but not required. We care much more about your ability to learn systems, understand accounting fundamentals, and take ownership of your work.

This is a remote position with significant opportunity to grow as Supply Mavericks grows.

Requirements

As our Accounting Specialist, you will take responsibility for much of the day-to-day accounting operation, including:

• Managing accounts payable and vendor bills
  
• Managing accounts receivable and supporting collections
  
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer invoices
  
• Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
  
• Matching purchase orders, vendor bills, and payments
  
• Monitoring AR and AP aging
  
• Maintaining accurate supporting documentation
  
• Assisting with inventory and cost of goods sold accounting
  
• Monitoring gross margins and identifying discrepancies
  
• Supporting weekly cash-flow reporting
  
• Maintaining vendor payment schedules and terms
  
• Supporting month-end and year-end close
  
• Assisting with sales tax reporting and reconciliation
  
• Working with outside accountants, CPAs, payroll providers, and financial advisors
  
• Identifying duplicate charges, missed credits, billing errors, and unnecessary expenses
  
• Building better financial processes and controls
  
• Helping automate repetitive accounting workflows
  
• Creating financial reports leadership can actually use
  
• Finding opportunities to improve cash flow, profitability, and financial efficiency
