Accounting Manager, DPS

About the Role:

The Accounting Manager leads the accounting operations of Dragos Public Sector subsidiary (DPS), ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with GAAP, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and government contracting requirements. This role has responsibility for the subsidiary's month-end close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, audit support, timekeeping compliance, and internal controls, while partnering across finance, contracts, and operations. 

The role will report to the General Manager of Federal. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead all accounting operations for the U.S. government subsidiary 
• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes 
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting 
• Manage revenue recognition under ASC 606, including identification of performance obligations and allocation of standalone selling price 
• Oversee timekeeping and labor distribution in compliance with government contracting requirements 
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, FAR, and applicable government cost accounting standards 
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors in accordance with GAAS 
• Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting 
• Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries 
• Support indirect rate calculations and cost pool management if needed in the future 
• Administer and maintain accounting systems (Unanet, NetSuite, Salesforce) and ensure data integrity 
• Support contract setup, billing, and revenue tracking in Unanet and Salesforce 
• Partner with the VP of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis 
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff 
• Lead process improvements and automation initiatives 
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory filing requirements 
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and contract information 
• Support special projects as assigned  

Qualifications: 

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience 
• Experience with U.S. government contract accounting and compliance (FAR, DCAA, cost accounting standards) 
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) 
• Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, including standalone selling price and performance obligations 
• Experience managing external audits and working with auditors 
• Experience with government timekeeping and labor compliance 
• Proficiency with Unanet, Salesforce, and NetSuite required 
• Experience with Navan and Concur preferred 
• Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in Word 
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and meet deadlines 

Compensation: 

• Salary: $125,000
