The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting, month-end close processes, and account reconciliations for multiple properties. They will also analyze financial results, manage capital expenditures, and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Essential Functions
Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple assigned properties.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, account reviews, and supporting documentation.
Review financial statements, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
Analyze financial results, variances, and unusual transactions and coordinate resolution with property and Finance teams.
Support budgeting, forecasting, P&L reviews, and financial performance analysis.
Review revenue, expenses, cash activity, inventory, payroll, and other accounting activity for accuracy and proper coding.
Assist with internal controls, audits, tax support, and compliance with company accounting policies.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency across properties.
Partner with Finance and property leadership to resolve accounting issues and support timely financial reporting.
Perform special projects and other Finance-related duties as assigned.
Track and monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX) and capital projects, ensuring expenses are properly coded, documented, recorded, and reconciled in accordance with company policies and approved budgets.
Communicate with ownership and GMs directly for approvals and project IDs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Relevant accounting and finance experience, including month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
Multi-property or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
Previous hotel, resort, or hospitality accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
Strong financial analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with remote property and corporate teams.
Knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) preferred.
