We're looking for our first Founding Account Strategist to help customers turn great products into great outbound.
You'll own customer strategy from day one—understanding each customer's business, defining their ideal audience, crafting outbound messaging, and helping them launch campaigns that generate results.
This isn't a traditional strategy role.
You'll work directly with our founders, Product, and Engineering to build repeatable customer playbooks, uncover insights that improve campaign performance, and shape the future of the product itself. As one of the first hires in this function, you'll help define how customer strategy is delivered as Distill scales.
Become an expert in each customer's business, market, and positioning.
Define ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and recommend the highest-value target audiences.
Make strategic recommendations with confidence and minimal oversight.
Act as a trusted advisor throughout onboarding and campaign execution.
Research companies and decision-makers using Distill.
Build and refine target lists aligned to each customer's ICP.
Leverage Distill's AI capabilities to improve targeting and qualification.
Continuously improve audience quality based on campaign performance and customer feedback.
Write compelling outbound messaging tailored to each customer.
Use AI to test, refine, and iterate messaging.
Identify winning positioning, messaging, and campaign frameworks.
Build reusable playbooks so every new customer benefits from previous learnings.
Monitor campaign performance across customers.
Identify trends in targeting, messaging, and conversion.
Make data-driven recommendations to improve customer outcomes.
Continuously experiment and optimize without waiting for direction.
Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate customer insights into product improvements.
Identify manual workflows that should become product capabilities.
Document customer pain points and emerging patterns.
Help shape a product customers can increasingly operate independently.
3+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Growth, Business Operations, Product, or another analytical customer-facing role.
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar businesses.
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
Comfortable using AI tools to research, write, test, and improve outputs.
Proven ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments.
Highly organized with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
Experience collaborating with founders, Product, Engineering, or Go-to-Market teams.
Work directly with experienced founders who have built and exited multiple successful startups.
Help define how AI-powered outbound strategy is delivered to customers.
Shape both the customer experience and the product from the ground up.
