Job Overview

The Account Representative – Akro-Mils/Jamco will drive Myers' organic growth efforts within key MRO distribution customers. This is a unique opportunity to sell a more efficient, reliable and reusable storage and organization system to the world’s biggest brands.

This role focuses on expanding our engagement frequency with key MRO sellers while actively identifying and closing new opportunities across diverse distribution channels. The ideal candidate will own the geographic territory and MRO relationships by clearly demonstrating creativity, drive, and motivation, with a proven track record of top sales performance. This role requires building and expanding relationships with existing customers, alongside an assertive approach to networking and prospecting to uncover new opportunities to deliver Myers' Akro-Mils and Jamco value.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve profitable volume growth by managing and expanding relationships at assigned MRO accounts.
  • Identify new customer opportunities to increase market share.
  • Discover, qualify, present value-based solutions, negotiate, handle objections, and close opportunities.
  • Negotiate and administer quotes, pricing and contracts to maximize ROI.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers at your assigned MRO.
  • Translate the Akro-Mils value proposition into compelling solutions aligned with customer needs and corporate strategies.
  • Create and execute customer-specific action plans with clear accountabilities and timelines.
  • Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders regarding market conditions and competitive landscape.
  • Continuously assess, clarify, and address customer needs and competitive threats.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand consistency.
  • Network and engage with regional trade organizations where target customers and decision-makers are members and participants.

Education and Experience

  • A four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years’ sales experience in a business-to business sales environment required
  • Previous experience developing and closing new business opportunities utilizing a hunter mentality or MRO relationship building.

Working Conditions

  • Remote
  • Travel up to 70% daily and overnight travel

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear and will occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel and climb stairs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
