Manage and grow a book of business for employer groups in Central Pennsylvania by serving as a trusted advisor to clients and brokers. Responsibilities include leading renewals, executing growth strategies, and providing day-to-day account service to ensure retention.

VBA is seeking a competitive, self-motivated Account Manager to take ownership of a well-established book of business across Central Pennsylvania, supporting employer groups in the under 500 eligible employee segment. This role blends relationship management, strategic account growth and consultative client service, making it ideal for someone who wants more than just day-to-day service work.

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and brokers by helping them navigate benefit strategies, optimize plan performance and uncover opportunities to enhance value.

In the first 90 days, success means quickly learning VBA’s business and building strong internal and client relationships while taking full ownership of day-to-day account management. By the end of that period, the Account Manager is confidently leading client interactions, managing their book independently and identifying opportunities to improve and grow accounts.

What Sets This Role Apart:

  • True ownership of your book – you’re not just servicing accounts, you’re managing and growing them
  • Access to decision-makers – work directly with leadership in a collaborative, agile environment
  • Flexibility and speed – ability to solve problems and implement solutions without layers of bureaucracy
  • Client-first culture – strong focus on personalized service as a core differentiator
