VIN IQ is hiring an Account Executive to grow our dealer pipeline by generating high-quality qualified sales meetings with dealerships and dealer groups. This role owns the outbound business development for VINIQ.  You will focus on finding the right dealers, booking and running strong first meetings, and handing off well-documented opportunities to the sales team. You will also partner with Marketing on ideal customer profile and messaging so the right dealers hear the right story. Reports to Steven Blackledge, Director of Sales.

What You’ll Own

  • Generate a steady flow of Opportunities each month, meeting or exceeding the 20 Opportunity monthly target.
  • Deliver high-quality Opportunities that fit VIN IQ’s buyer profile and are ready for the sales team to advance.
  • Run strong first meetings that give dealers a clear platform overview.
  • Keep every meeting and prospect accurately logged in HubSpot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and outreach: identify and engage dealerships and dealer groups that fit VIN IQ’s buyer profile.
  • Meetings: schedule and hold live meetings (Zoom, Google Meet, phone with screen share, or in person) that include a VIN IQ platform overview.
  • Buyer engagement: reach the right decision-makers, including dealership Owners, GMs, GSMs, Used Car Managers, and Digital or Marketing Managers, plus dealer-group executives and operations or marketing leads.
  • Qualification: confirm each prospect’s operational fit to implement VIN IQ, such as the ability to place tracking tags or provide data access.
  • CRM discipline: log every meeting in HubSpot with date, company, attendee names and titles, notes, and Opportunity designation for CEO confirmation.
  • Handoff: pass qualified, well-documented opportunities to the Director of Sales for the sales conversation.
  • Sales and marketing alignment: share field insights with Marketing to sharpen targeting, messaging, and lead quality.

What We’re Looking For

  • Sales or business development experience, ideally in automotive retail, SaaS, or a related B2B space.
  • A strong outbound operator who can consistently book and run qualified meetings with senior dealership stakeholders.
  • Confident presenter who can deliver a clear platform overview and speak to VIN IQ’s value.
  • Comfort with CRM tools, HubSpot preferred, and disciplined pipeline tracking.
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and motivated by clear targets and performance-based rewards.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations and decision-makers is a plus.

Performance Measures (High-Level)

  • Monthly Opportunities generated against the 20 Opportunity target.
  • Quality of Opportunities, measured by fit to the buyer profile and qualification criteria.
  • Strength and clarity of the platform overview delivered in first meetings.
  • HubSpot data quality and timely, accurate meeting logging.
