The specialist manages a caseload of participants experiencing homelessness, complex trauma, and mental health needs while providing coverage for the Homeless Navigation hotline. They are responsible for completing intakes and enrollments for the Stark County Homeless Navigation system.

The specialist will manage the homeless navigation hotline, conducting intakes and enrollments for participants while assisting with eligibility documentation. They will provide support to a diverse caseload using trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing techniques.

The role is responsible for planning and implementing Cultural and Linguistic Competence (CLC) within the behavioral healthcare network. It involves collaborating with criminal justice, education, and physical health systems to ensure equitable service for residents.

The coordinator is responsible for facilitating suicide and substance use prevention coalitions and implementing related community strategies. Key duties include managing budgets, coordinating data collection, and hosting community events to prevent overdose and suicide.
