The Senior Underwriter primarily uses underwriting authority to develop external relationships to write profitable new business and retain existing policyholders within the Senior Living/Long-Term Care segment of medical professional liability. Responsibilities include examining, accepting, and rejecting risks based on guidelines, classifying and pricing accounts to meet profit goals, and monitoring the assigned book of business.

The Senior Business Development Representative will manage their own broker relations, focusing on growing books of business by building strong relationships, providing education, and acting as a company representative at industry events. This role requires significant collaboration with Underwriting teams to execute the HCPL Strategic Plan priorities and tactical actions.
