IFDC- International Fertilizer Development

The consultant will strengthen IFDC's institutional capacity to develop competitive and donor-compliant financial proposals by creating standardized systems, tools, and governance structures. This includes reviewing workflows, modernizing budget templates, and establishing pricing guidance for key cost drivers.

The consultant will assess IFDC's procurement systems to ensure alignment with IFAD standards and conduct a detailed gap analysis. They will also support the preparation of the project Procurement Plan and provide guidance on establishing transparent procurement procedures.

The consultant will ensure project activities align with IFAD's SECAP standards by identifying environmental, social, and climate risks. They will also develop mitigation strategies, screening tools, and reporting frameworks to support project implementation.

The consultant will conduct a rapid assessment of financial management systems to ensure compliance with IFAD requirements and provide targeted guidance for project implementation. They will also support the development of financial manuals, reporting templates, and capacity building for project staff.

The role involves leading or contributing to drafting compelling and coherent technical proposal narratives that fully respond to solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria. Responsibilities also include translating technical inputs into clear narratives, ensuring consistency across sections, and integrating feedback from various stakeholders.
