Position Overview

The Warranty Technical Specialist is responsible for the technical evaluation, validation, and support of warranty claims across a fleet of battery energy storage systems. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and OEMs to assess failures, verify warranty applicability, and ensure accurate and timely resolution of technical issues.

This position blends hands-on system knowledge with analytical and data-driven decision-making to maximize warranty recovery while improving asset reliability and vendor accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare technical summaries, incident reports, and claim support packages.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of analyses, findings, and communications.
• Contribute to recurring reports on warranty trends, failure modes, and vendor performance.
• Support audit activities with clear technical evidence.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

Desired:

• 2-3+ years of experience in energy storage, renewables, power systems, or industrial power generation equipment. 
• Direct exposure to BESS or power electronics systems strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of: 
  • Lithium-ion battery technologies (LFP, NMC)
  • Battery Management Systems (BMS)
• Experience supporting warranty claims and working directly with OEMs.
• Knowledge of performance guarantees (capacity, efficiency, availability, degradation). 
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and reliability engineering methods.
• Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, trend evaluation). 
• Experience with data tools (Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar) is a plus.
