Job Summary

The Data & Systems Manager Sr - FEF is responsible for being the point person in Operations for all ad hoc data and reporting requests from business leaders, audit and strategy. Works with project management team to facilitate anticipated portfolio and data migrations into Flagstar Financial. Builds out monthly data quality checks of required KPIs for Flagstar Financial and Flagstar Public Funding. Focuses on the build, support and maintenance of a significantly enhanced reporting suite (Crystal Reports and MS SSRS and SQL Data Extracts). Works with VP- Data and Systems Manager to scale a data architecture which will support the ongoing growth of Flagstar Financial' s eight business channels.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates, updates and supports MS SQL Reporting Services and Crystal Report packages .
  • Manages ad-hoc data and reporting requests from business leaders, audit and strategy. 
  • Automates current reporting processes and author SQL queries used for reporting and downstream data processes.
  • Manages the data integration and data migration process.  
  • Coordinates and collaborates with IT to ensure end to end processes are aligned. 
  • Designs and codes database objects (tables, views, stored procedures and functions/triggers).
  • Creates table indices to improve performance and troubleshoots/optimizes queries.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
  • Minimum experience required: 5+ years of experience in Financial Services/ Commercial lending.
  • ​Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Visual Studio, and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.
  • MS SQL Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field.
     

Job Competencies:

  • Knowledge of commercial lending and banking practices.  
  • Knowledge of cloud applications and change control. 
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Visual Studio, 
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access (preferred).  Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Integration Service.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills.  
  • Relational database and Master data management/quality/lineage expertise.    
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Fosters or supports a positive work culture and productive work environment, displaying importance of effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.

Pay Range

$124,305.75 - $202,000.00
