Role Overview

The Video Editor (Volunteer) plays a vital role in translating our worship experiences, sermons, community outreaches, and ministry stories into high-impact, beautifully crafted visual content. Reporting to Media & Production leadership, this 100% remote role empowers you to craft high-impact videos from anywhere in the United States with flexible scheduling.

In this role, your creativity is not bound by software brand names. Whether your editor of choice is Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Pro, or another capable suite, we value pacing, story narrative, emotional resonance, and visual excellence above specific toolsets.

Scope of Service & Key Responsibilities

Sermon & Service Post-Production: Edit full-length Sunday message replays, multi-cam worship sets, and service highlights for broadcast across YouTube, website, and digital campus channels.

Short-Form & Social Media Content: Cut dynamic, hook-driven short-form reels/vertical video (9:16) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook—captioned, color-corrected, and optimized for mobile engagement.

Promotional & Storytelling Videos: Edit creative ministry spotlights, volunteer features, baptism/testimony recaps, and seasonal event promos (Easter, Christmas, Outreach).

Software-Agnostic Creative Workflow: Utilize your preferred professional Non-Linear Editor (Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.) while adhering to church branding, clean audio mixing, color grading, and modern motion graphics standards.

Asset Management & Delivery: Manage organized project archives, raw footage offloads, and final exports delivered on schedule via Google Drive / cloud storage.

Remote Team Collaboration: Connect digitally with church leadership and the media team for creative brainstorms, feedback cycles, and streamlined cloud footage handoffs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Video Editing Craft & Portfolio: Proven editing experience demonstrated through an active portfolio, reel, or sample links (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, social channels).

Storytelling & Rhythm: Strong grasp of visual pacing, sound design, audio leveling (speech clarity, music ducking), color correction, and intentional jump-cutting.

Software Freedom: Full proficiency in your NLE of choice (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Pro, etc.) with hardware capable of smoothly rendering 1080p and 4K footage.

Independent Time Management: Ability to reliably commit 6–10 hours per week and deliver weekly edits on turnaround deadlines for weekend services and social releases.

Heart for Kingdom Ministry: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to see media used as an instrument of hope, salvation, and spiritual growth.
