Video Editor, Long-Form

Job Summary

• The 33rd Team is seeking a remote, contract video editor to serve as the long-form editor for two weekly video podcasts: a weekly interview series hosted by a former NFL player and a second NFL Trivia show. This is a part-time, seasonal contract role (approximately 5–10 hrs/week) built for a detail-oriented editor who can turn multi-camera and remote recordings into polished, story-driven episodes on a reliable weekly deadline. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of pacing and narrative, takes notes well, and cares about the finished product.

Core Responsibilities

• Long-Form Editing: Cut and finish full-length episodes (30–45 min) in Adobe Premiere from multi-camera studio and remote (Riverside) recordings, shaping raw conversations into tight, well-paced episodes.
• Cold Opens & Structure: Build episode cold opens and execute segment structure, including sponsor integrations, per producer rundowns.
• Multicam & Audio: Sync multi-camera footage, balance and clean dialogue audio, and deliver a broadcast-ready mix.
• Graphics Integration: Implement the show’s graphics package, including lower thirds, title cards, and end cards.
• Revisions & Delivery: Turn around producer notes quickly and deliver final exports on a consistent weekly schedule for YouTube and podcast distribution.

Qualifications

• Editing Chops: 2–4+ years editing long-form content (podcasts, interviews, or documentary-style video) in Adobe Premiere, with a reel or samples demonstrating strong pacing and story instincts.
• Technical Fluency: Comfort with multicam workflows, dialogue audio cleanup, and project organization across multiple shows.
• Reliability: Proven ability to hit recurring weekly deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Schedule: Availability on Mondays is required to support the weekly publishing schedule.
• Production Background: Prior experience editing a recurring podcast or YouTube show.

Nice to Have

• Motion Graphics: Experience with Adobe After Effects.
• Design Skills: Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
• Passion for the NFL: Genuine interest in and current knowledge of the NFL.

Pay Transparency

This is a part-time, seasonal contract position at $30 per hour for approximately 5–10 hours per week, running through the current season (ending approximately March 2027). Anticipated start date: October 1st, 2026.
