The Video Editor will produce high-quality brand films, commercials, and social media content using cinematic storytelling and motion graphics. They are responsible for managing projects through cloud-based workflows while collaborating with creative teams and clients to meet deadlines.
This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.
Our client is a fast-paced creative video agency specializing in high-quality brand films, commercials, testimonials, explainers, UGC content, and short-form social media videos for a variety of clients. Their work emphasizes cinematic storytelling, strong visual branding, and platform-conscious content across multiple channels.
The Video Editor will edit a wide range of video content, bringing stories to life through cinematic pacing, visual storytelling, color, audio, and motion graphics. The role will work primarily in DaVinci Resolve Studio across brand films, interviews, explainers, product demos, testimonials, and short-form social content.
This is a freelance, remote role collaborating closely with the creative team, project managers, and clients while managing projects through cloud-based workflows and delivering polished work on schedule.
Fully Remote (Work from Home) | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST
Edit brand films, multi-camera interviews, explainers, product demos, client testimonials, and short-form social content, including Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
Apply cinematic storytelling techniques with strong pacing, clean transitions, and platform-conscious editing.
Incorporate branded assets, captions, animated motion graphics, stock footage, and polished audio.
Perform advanced color grading and audio processing to achieve professional, broadcast-quality results.
Use Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and template-based work.
Integrate animated elements and motion graphics into video projects.
Use AI-based video tools to enhance live-action or motion-graphics content.
Maintain clean, narrative-driven edits aligned with client objectives and creative direction.
Work in DaVinci Resolve Studio and manage timelines and projects through Blackmagic Cloud.
Manage media using Suite or similar cloud-based file management workflows.
Handle multi-camera editing, proxy workflows, and high-resolution media efficiently.
Organize and maintain project files, timelines, and versions.
Troubleshoot technical issues within editing software and cloud-based collaboration tools.
Collaborate with the in-house creative team, project managers, clients, and other team members to align work with project goals and brand standards.
Meet project deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Track time accurately for each project and video to support billing and project profitability.
Participate in Zoom meetings with the team and clients.
1+ years of professional video editing experience using DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Experience with multi-camera editing, proxy workflows, audio processing, and color grading.
Experience using Adobe After Effects for motion graphics or templates.
Experience working with AI-based video tools to enhance live-action or motion-graphics content.
Experience with Blackmagic Cloud or willingness to learn.
Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Strong visual storytelling skills with the ability to create clean, narrative-driven and cinematic edits.
Ability to perform advanced color grading and audio processing.
Ability to incorporate captions, branded assets, stock footage, and animated motion graphics.
Ability to efficiently manage high-resolution media and multi-camera projects.
Strong organization and attention to detail when managing project files, timelines, and versions.
Ability to manage deadlines reliably while maintaining high-quality creative output.
Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve Fusion.
Experience with cloud-based file management platforms such as Suite Studios.
Experience with project management platforms such as Teamwork, ClickUp, or Asana.
Passion for cinematic storytelling and clean, narrative-driven visuals.
Consistently delivers high-quality and engaging video content across multiple platforms.
Videos meet client expectations, brand guidelines, and storytelling standards.
Projects are managed efficiently and delivered on time.
Communication with the team and clients supports smooth collaboration.
Work demonstrates versatility, creativity, and technical expertise across different video formats.
