Video Editor

The Video Editor supports the SEC ISS contract by producing and editing professional video content used for SEC internal communications, external messaging, and mission support activities. This role aligns with PWS AV/VTC service requirements by supporting recorded and live event production in enterprise collaboration environments. The position ensures all video products meet SEC standards for branding, accessibility, and compliance while delivering reliable, high-quality outputs on schedule. The Video Editor works across communications, AV/VTC, and service delivery teams to support routine operations and surge requirements.

This is a remote / Telework role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Production and Post-Production

- Edit high-quality video content for internal and external communications, including announcements, briefings, and training assets.

- Collaborate with creative teams to translate concepts and storyboards into polished final products with strong pacing, clarity, and visual consistency.

- Execute full post-production workflows, including rough/final cuts, color correction, audio synchronization, mixing, and rendering.

- Deliver multiple format outputs optimized for web streaming, enterprise platforms, and stakeholder distribution channels.

Live Event and AV/VTC Support

- Support live and recorded AV/VTC events, including town halls, commission-related sessions, and office/division meetings.

- Provide live video/audio directing support and manage recording workflows for high-visibility events.

- Coordinate captioning workflows and support third-party accessibility services (e.g., interpretation coordination) as required.

- Partner with AV/VTC teams to validate event readiness and resolve production issues quickly.

Compliance, Accessibility, and Quality Assurance

- Ensure all deliverables comply with SEC branding guidance, accessibility expectations, and contract compliance standards.

- Apply quality-control checks for caption accuracy, audio clarity, visual consistency, and playback integrity before release.

- Manage stakeholder review cycles, incorporate feedback, and maintain delivery timelines.

- Follow established SOPs, documentation practices, and version-control protocols throughout the production lifecycle.

Asset and Workflow Management

- Maintain organized digital asset libraries with consistent naming conventions, metadata, and archive controls.

- Manage media ingest, storage, and handoff processes across creative and technical teams.

- Track requests and production status within enterprise workflow/ticketing processes to support SLA-aligned execution.

- Support surge and time-sensitive communication requirements tied to operational priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

US Citizenship required. 

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required). 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

- 3+ years of professional experience in video editing and production (3-5 years preferred range).

- Experience executing end-to-end post-production workflows, including color correction, audio synchronization, and rendering.

- Familiarity with video compression standards, streaming formats, and multimedia workflows.

- Experience supporting enterprise multimedia delivery environments; government or regulated-environment experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

- Adobe Premiere Pro

- Adobe After Effects

- Video compression standards and streaming formats

- Multimedia production workflows (ingest, edit, transcode, render, publish)

- Digital asset management and version-control practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience producing and editing live-streamed executive events and large virtual/hybrid sessions.

- Working knowledge of accessible media delivery practices, including captioning quality control.

- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex collaboration/video environments in contract operations.

- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow) and SLA-driven service environments.

- Proven ability to coordinate with AV engineers, communications stakeholders, and external vendors under tight deadlines.

- Adobe Certified Professional in Digital Video Using Adobe Premiere Pro

- Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Effects & Motion Graphics Using Adobe After Effects

- AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)

WORK ENVIRONMENT / OTHER

Operational Support: May require participation in on-call or surge support activities depending on operational needs. 

Location: Remote / Telework 

Travel: As required per contract direction.
