Our client is a fast-growing video agency based in the heart of London. They deliver everything in-house and work with household-name clients as well as a variety of smaller charities, not-for-profits and public sector organisations. They also make their own content.
The business is entering an exciting chapter of its development, having recently finished the build of two brand new studios (on site at its HQ).
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an ambitious and creative video editor/animator who is keen to fast-track their career. The successful candidate will ideally have had some experience in post-production either within a creative agency or in-house, lives and breathes post production and is totally passionate about video content, is forward-thinking, is able to collate and build content, has a deep understanding of production, and can work independently as well as in a small team of creatives.
Our client is looking for an editor who can take footage from their studio, location, and podcast teams, and can craft it into engaging, visually compelling stories for their clients. The ideal candidate will be confident across video editing and motion graphics processes, from initial concept to final delivery. This role requires a passion for creative storytelling, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Video Editing: Ingest, organise, and edit video footage from rough cut to final product. Use client briefs and filming notes to create compelling edits and animations.
Animation: Develop engaging animation and motion graphics from concept to completion. This includes storyboarding, asset creation, and final rendering.
Asset Management: Source or create necessary assets for video edits and animations, following brand guidelines and project style.
Audio Enhancement: Use music and sound effects where appropriate to elevate the overall impact of the edit.
Quality Control: Implement internal and client feedback to refine video edits and animations.
Project Management: Keep to project timelines and workflows, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content. Maintain organised project files.
Collaboration: Work with team members to deliver projects, offering creative input and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Proven experience (3 years minimum) as a video editor with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of editing styles and techniques.
Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro), motion graphics software (Adobe After Effects), and design (Illustrator).
Excellent understanding of storytelling and design.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients.
The ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects.
