US & Canada
Location: Remote (must be able to work across US and Canadian time zones) | Job Type: Part-time
About the Client
Our client is a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem connecting founders, investors, mentors, and professionals across
more than 30 industries. With a community of over 5,000 members, their platform brings together networking,
education, investment opportunities, and mentorship to help businesses at every stage grow and scale.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive, highly organised Venue Partnerships & Relations Manager to own the venue side
of their in-person events across the US and Canada. This is a remote, part-time role at the centre of every venue
relationship the business relies on - from keeping existing partner venues happy and event-ready, to scouting and
onboarding new venues in new cities, to being the go-to point of contact who keeps venue operations running
smoothly, day to day, without needing close supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the primary point of contact for all venue communications across the US and Canada, managing
relationships with existing venue partners and ensuring responsiveness and professionalism at all times.
• Own day-to-day venue operations for the events calendar - confirming availability, coordinating logistics and
requirements, and ensuring every venue is ready and briefed ahead of each event.
• Research, identify, and reach out to new venues in target US and Canadian cities to expand the client's venue
network as the community grows.
• Negotiate rates, availability, and terms with venues, and manage contracts, bookings, and cancellations.
• Build and maintain a well-organised, up-to-date database of venue contacts, pricing, capacity, amenities, and
past performance.
• Troubleshoot venue-related issues quickly and calmly, escalating only when necessary, so events run as business-
as-usual.
• Coordinate closely with the client's events and community team to align venue selection with event format,
audience size, and city strategy.
• Monitor venue quality and member/host feedback, and proactively resolve or flag recurring issues.
• Provide regular updates and simple reporting on venue status, pipeline of new venues, and upcoming bookings.
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in venue management, venue sourcing, event operations, or vendor/partnership relationship
management.
• Comfortable managing relationships and logistics remotely, across multiple cities and time zones, without in-
person oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident representing the client professionally to external
venue partners.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a growing portfolio of venues and contacts independently.
• Comfortable with outreach and negotiation — not afraid to cold-contact new venues and secure favourable
terms.
Familiarity with the US and Canadian events/hospitality landscape is a strong plus.
• Self-starter who is equally comfortable with routine admin and ad hoc problem-solving.
• Based in, or closely aligned with, US or Canadian working hours.
What Success Looks Like
• Venue communications are handled promptly and professionally, with no disruption to “business as usual.”
• A steadily growing, well-vetted network of venues across key US and Canadian cities.
• Strong, trusted relationships with existing venue partners, reflected in good rates and priority availability.
• A clean, current record of venue contacts, terms, and booking history that the wider team can rely on.
Working Arrangement
This is a remote, part-time position with flexible hours, structured around US and Canadian business hours and event
scheduling needs. Exact hours per week will be agreed with the successful candidate based on event volume.
