The consultant is responsible for researching and coordinating travel arrangements, including accommodations, activities, and transportation for clients. They must also manage booking details, maintain accurate itineraries, and provide ongoing support throughout the travel planning process.
Position Summary
We are seeking motivated individuals who enjoy researching options, managing details, and helping clients organize enjoyable travel experiences. As a Travel Coordination Consultant, you will assist travelers with bringing together the different pieces of their vacation, from selecting accommodations and activities to organizing reservations and preparing for departure.
This remote opportunity is well suited for individuals who are resourceful, organized, comfortable communicating with clients, and interested in developing skills within the travel and hospitality industry. Previous travel industry experience is not required, as training and ongoing guidance are provided.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Gather information from clients regarding preferred destinations, travel dates, interests, budgets, and trip priorities
- Compare available hotels, resorts, cruises, transportation, tours, excursions, and other vacation options
- Help travelers evaluate choices and select arrangements that fit their individual needs
- Coordinate multiple components of a trip using authorized travel platforms and supplier systems
- Organize reservation details into clear and easy-to-follow itineraries
- Send clients confirmations, schedules, travel information, and other materials needed for their upcoming trip
- Follow up on pending arrangements and help ensure required details are completed prior to travel
- Handle routine booking adjustments, schedule changes, cancellations, and client requests
- Check reservation information carefully for inconsistencies or missing details
- Document client preferences, communications, and booking activity in company systems
- Stay informed about destinations, supplier products, promotions, and travel services through continued education
- Participate in virtual training, team meetings, and professional development activities
