Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in revenue management, group sales, or hotel analytics, preferably in a full-service or luxury property.
  • Skills: 
    • Strong analytical, forecasting, and pricing strategy skills
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and revenue management systems
    • Deep understanding of distribution channels and digital commerce
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Required: 
    • Experience with transient pricing, forecasting, and inventory controls
    • Knowledge of Marriott PMS, CRS, RMS, and channel management systems
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in resort or high-volume market environments
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and distribution optimization

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

Transient Revenue Optimization

  • Maximize profitability across all transient segments, including retail, loyalty/member, negotiated corporate, consortia, OTA, wholesale/FIT, promotions, and last-room availability
  • Develop and execute short-term pricing strategies aligned with demand patterns and market conditions

Pricing Strategy

  • Set, adjust, and optimize retail pricing across all segments and room types
  • Execute dynamic pricing strategies based on demand, pace, and market conditions
  • Manage length-of-stay restrictions, advance purchase offers, and fenced promotions
  • Implement day-of-week pricing strategies to maximize revenue opportunities

Inventory Management

  • Manage transient inventory allocation across channels and segments
  • Open and close distribution channels and rate plans as needed
  • Control room type availability and optimize inventory mix
  • Develop and execute overbooking strategies
  • Optimize shoulder nights and occupancy gaps

Demand Forecasting

  • Perform daily pickup analysis and pace reporting
  • Forecast transient demand and occupancy trends
  • Analyze compression periods and identify revenue opportunities
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market positioning

Channel Management

  • Optimize OTA performance and strategy
  • Maximize brand.com conversion and direct channel contribution
  • Maintain metasearch competitiveness and visibility
  • Ensure strong GDS presence for corporate demand
  • Analyze and manage channel costs and profitability

Market Segment Ownership

  • Own performance strategy and results for: 
    • Retail
    • Discount
    • Corporate negotiated
    • Loyalty/member
    • Wholesale FIT
    • OTA
    • Government
    • Airline/crew transient

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with E-commerce, Digital Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, Brand Revenue teams, and Distribution to align strategies and execution


Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Transient RevPAR
  • ADR and Net ADR
  • Occupancy
  • Market share index (MPI, RGI, ARI)
  • Channel mix and contribution
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Profit contribution
  • OTA acquisition cost

Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational communications
  • Perform work primarily in a seated or standing position for extended periods
  • Move throughout the property as needed to support operational alignment

  • Utilize standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and analytical systems
  • Maintain visual and cognitive focus to analyze data, reports, and systems accurately
  • Apply mathematical and analytical skills to interpret data, trends, and performance metrics
