Job Summary
Role: Technical Bootcamp Facilitator – FDE L200 (Application Modernization)
Objective:
Deliver a 5-day virtual, hands-on bootcamp on application modernization for engineers, architects, and consultants, covering mainframe (IBM Z) to cloud transformation using Azure and multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical training sessions on modernization, cloud, and AI-driven delivery
- Lead live demos, labs, and troubleshooting during sessions
- Manage cohorts (up to 50 participants) and ensure engagement
- Coach teams through a capstone project and evaluate outcomes
- Continuously improve content and delivery based on feedback
Core Skills Required:
- IBM Mainframe (z/OS, COBOL, CICS, Db2)
- Azure Cloud (AKS, App Services, DevOps, Data services)
- Knowledge of AWS/GCP (optional)
- Application Modernization (6R/7R, microservices, containerization)
- CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Git
- Basic understanding of Agentic AI / LLMs
Additional Skills:
- Strong technical training & facilitation skills
- Ability to debug issues live during sessions
- Experience with modernization tools and DevOps practices
Preferred Background:
- Experience in technical training / bootcamp delivery
- Background in cloud transformation, architecture, or consulting
- Exposure to mainframe-to-cloud migration projects
