Your Role

100% Remote. You will triage calls from our clients in the following manner: 1) assess the needs utilizing injury algorithm guidelines; 2) give appropriate care advice, and 3) disposition to the appropriate level of care treatment facility within the scope of the licensed practice.

Full-Time Schedules (Fixed)

  • Option 1
    • Days: Monday-Friday
    • Scheduled weekend rotations required
    • Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Arizona Time)
  • Option 2
    • Days: Monday-Friday
    • Scheduled weekend rotations required
    • Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Arizona Time)
  • Option 3
    • Days: Saturday-Tuesday
    • Hours: 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM (Arizona Time)

Part-Time Schedule (Fixed)

  • Days: Monday-Friday
  • Scheduled weekend rotations required
  • Hours: 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM (Arizona Time)

The Awesome Work You’ll Be Doing

  • Apply all phases of the nursing process (i.e., evaluation, assessment, planning, and implementation) when triaging calls by utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines. 
  • Identify the needs of the caller by triaging, obtaining general health information, and/or provider services referral. 
  • Triage callers in the following manner: 1) utilizing computerized protocols/algorithms in collaboration with clinical nursing judgment; 2) interviewing caller(s) to obtain pertinent data and 3) entering data into the computer system. 
  • Demonstrate effective verbal communication by calmly communicating phone advice to ensure it is properly received and understood. 
  • Chart concisely, descriptively, legibly, and accurately indicating the caller’s symptoms/complaints that also includes a nursing assessment, the advice provided, the caller’s response, and submit the reports promptly. 
  • Adheres to quality assurance standards. 
  • Adheres to assigned scheduled activities. 
  • Demonstrates understanding of and adheres to the nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness that improve health care outcomes of callers and their access to the appropriate level of care. 
  • Acknowledges the quality assessment(s) feedback and utilizes this information to improve performance. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What we need from you

  • Current unrestricted multi-state license as a registered nurse. 
  • Work with management to obtain additional non-NLC state licenses beginning immediately upon acceptance of the job offer. 
  • Minimum of three years of clinical-related experience (e.g., ambulatory care, acute care, occupational health experience, medical/surgical or critical, or emergency care. 
  • Must possess strong knowledge of nursing practice and theory, including but not limited to first-aid nursing care and general nursing assessment knowledge. 
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to all age groups. 
  • Must be able to operate with cultural sensitivity to work with people and groups of diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. 
  • Must be able to independently make good clinical decisions quickly. 
  • Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing situations. 
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. 
  • Strong analytical, interpretative, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to consistently and accurately type and enter data for the duration of the work shift. 
  • Must be a motivated team player willing to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Must be open to flexible scheduling. 
  • Ability to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) competencies. 
  • General computer skills and knowledge required include: 
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products 
  • Familiarity with computer components and their usage of them 
  • Familiarity with technology troubleshooting 
  • Ability to multitask and navigate between various software programs and multiple display screens


Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • 3 years' experience with direct patient care in Ambulatory and/or Inpatient settings.
  • Ability to work remotely by having a private designated workspace to ensure patient confidentiality and secure high-speed internet connectivity.
  • Confidence in navigating various software systems/programs with ease.
