Why you will love this job:

We have an enthusiastic and highly effective team with no end of challenging and interesting work. Our company is a recognized national leader in business innovation and has featured in the top 30 best performing companies on the TSX. The company and our team are growing, and the expansionary mindset holds considerable potential for the right person.

Who we are looking for:

As a Technical Project Manager for AutoCanada’s Collision Centres & Hail Department (ACX), you will lead technical projects supporting ACX’s continued growth, including the integration of newly acquired collision centre locations and technology rollouts across the existing store network. You will succeed in this role if you are a highly organized self-starter who thrives managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You will bring strong communication and coordination skills, sound business acumen, and enough technical fluency to work effectively across IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to keep projects on time and on budget.

What you will do

  • Own and manage the end-to-end project plan and timeline for the technical integration of newly acquired collision centre locations into ACX’s systems.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement team on vendor and contract transitions for newly acquired locations, ensuring software, hardware, and service agreements are aligned to ACX’s standards.
  • Lead telecom transition projects, coordinating the rollout of standardized business communication and connectivity platforms across new and existing locations.
  • Coordinate multi-location technology rollouts — such as software deployments, hardware refreshes, and printer/equipment upgrades — across ACX’s store network.
  • Lead cross-functional technical projects across IT, Procurement, and Analytics & Innovation, coordinating timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication from kickoff through go-live.
  • Partner with IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to scope new initiatives, define project requirements, and track budgets against approved plans.
  • Identify and manage project risks, escalating issues and proposing mitigation plans to leadership as needed.
  • Maintain clear, up-to-date project documentation, status reporting, and post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
  • Some travel may be involved.

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project management, ideally including technology rollouts, telecom projects, or acquisition integration.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training considered an asset.
  • Related post-secondary education in business, technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple locations and competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, procurement teams, or service providers considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Familiarity with IT systems, telecom/network technologies, or business software rollouts considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with automotive or collision repair operations considered an asset.
