To strengthen our ERP organization, we are looking for an experienced Technical Lead who will play a key role in designing, developing, and evolving our IFS Cloud platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology-driven professional who enjoys combining technical leadership, architecture, integration, and platform governance to deliver business-critical solutions.

Our ERP platform is the operational backbone of a significant part of Wilhelmsen's global operations. As Technical Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring the platform remains reliable, innovative, and capable of supporting future business growth.

Your future duties and responsibilities

As Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the technical direction and delivery of our IFS Cloud platform and related enterprise applications.

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the technical design, development, and continuous improvement of the IFS Cloud platform.
• Review, approve, and govern technical designs, customizations, extensions, and code quality.
• Establish and enforce development standards, documentation practices, and technical governance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers, consultants, and solution architects.
• Ensure all customizations and enhancements follow upgrade-safe and sustainable design principles.
• Manage and govern user access across systems, ensuring appropriate authorization levels, compliance with segregation of duties requirements, and adherence to security standards.

Platform Development & Enhancements

• Lead the development of IFS customizations, Aurena pages, projections, custom pages, reports, and document solutions.
• Support system configuration, enhancements, upgrades, and implementation of new functionality.
• Evaluate existing solutions and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and innovation.
• Ensure solutions align with both business requirements and long-term platform strategy.

Integration & Enterprise Connectivity

• Own the planning, design, and implementation of integrations between IFS Cloud and enterprise systems, including CRM, maintenance, logistics, financial, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration requirements and technical solutions.
• Ensure integrations are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

Release Management & Platform Operations

• Design and execute application deployment and release strategies with minimal business disruption.
• Oversee development, testing, build, and production environments.
• Manage deployment pipelines, build processes, version control, and release governance.
• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and stability while driving continuous improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance during development, testing, and deployment activities.

Business Partnership & Vendor Management

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, improve processes, and deliver business value.
• Collaborate with solution architects and provide direction to external vendors responsible for development and support activities.
• Participate in evaluating and assuring the quality of technical solution proposals.
• Act as a trusted advisor for technical capabilities, architecture decisions, and ERP roadmap initiatives.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud. Minimum 10+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture, integrations, and ERP ecosystems.
• Experience leading technical teams and guiding developers across complex initiatives.
• Expertise in IFS customizations, extensions, reporting, and deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps principles, and release management.
• Excellent business process understanding combined with strong technical capabilities.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively across business and technical communities and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Highly structured, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
