Position Overview
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an experienced Technical Architecture Specialist to develop and maintain enterprise reporting solutions, .NET Core MVC applications, and database objects across SQL Server and Oracle environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SSRS, SSIS, .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, Oracle, ETL, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, and Power BI while supporting enterprise reporting, application development, and database solutions.

Required Skills
  •  3+ years of related IT experience 
  •  Strong experience with Microsoft SSRS and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL development 
  •  Expertise in .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, C#, Dependency Injection, JavaScript, and jQuery
  •  Experience handling large enterprise datasets and reporting solutions 
  •  Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and SQL Developer 
  •  SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 
  •  Data Modeling and Database Design 
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Preferred Skills
  •  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Key Responsibilities
  •  Develop, enhance, and maintain SSRS reports and database objects for SQL Server and Oracle databases. 
  •  Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core MVC applications using C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and Dependency Injection. 
  •  Build and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). 
  •  Design relational and multidimensional databases and optimize report performance. 
  •  Gather and document business requirements while collaborating with business users. 
  •  Configure report servers, database security, and reporting solutions. 
  •  Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git. 
  •  Publish and manage reports within Power BI Service across multiple deployment environments. 
  •  Document technical solutions, mentor team members, and follow Agile development best practices.
