Team Lead, Design

Level Access is seeking a Team Lead, Design to own design creative direction and day-to-day design operations for Level Access. In this role, you will set the visual direction, manage the workload of a small international design team, and drive design excellence across print and digital projects. You will actively incorporate AI-forward methodologies to enable scalable, efficient design workflows. This position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a passion for maintaining consistency in our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and own creative direction from a design perspective — visual identity, design systems, and consistency across campaigns
• Project manage and assign design tasks across the team, balancing priorities and deadlines
• Collaborate with other designers on both print and digital design projects
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable components (Figma libraries, templates, style guides)
• Serve as a player-coach for a small design team—leading, mentoring, and coaching team members while remaining hands-on in day-to-day design work

Qualifications

Required:

• Demonstrated experience in creative direction or design leadership
• Strong project management skills — able to assign, track, and prioritize design work across a team
• Proficiency in Figma, including design systems and component libraries
• Experience working across both print and digital design
• Skilled at integrating AI tools into the design process
• Ability to work effectively across time zones; Eastern time zone availability preferred.

Preferred:

• Highly organized — able to manage multiple concurrent projects without dropping threads
• Creative, with a strong point of view on visual direction
• Comfortable working within — and evolving — established design systems rather than starting from scratch each time
• Strong collaborator, especially across time zones and with non-designers

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full time position. The annual base salary hiring range for this position is CA$87,000 - CA$116,000 for employees located in Canada. The salary range reflects expected base pay for this role at the time of posting. The compensation package offered will be determined by factors such as demonstrated experience, skills, and internal equity. Expected base pay hiring ranges for candidates outside of the United States and Canada will be reviewed during the interview process, if selected. This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the form of a company bonus plan.
