Tax Manager

Schedule: Full-Time: 40+ hours per week (up to 60+ during tax season/as needed)

Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 based on experience

Location: Remote in TX, TN, or FL

Role Overview

As a Tax Manager at DiLucci CPA Firm, you'll spend the majority of your time doing the work that actually matters most: final review of complex returns, direct client communication, and close coordination with our planning team to make sure strategy and execution never fall out of sync. You won't be buried in low-level prep work; you'll be the last set of eyes that ensures accuracy, catches what others miss, and turns technical work into real client confidence.

This role will also put genuinely difficult returns in front of you, the kind that stretch your technical skill and keep you learning, not just repeating the same work year after year. You'll help lead and mentor a tax team that's building real depth, and you'll have a direct hand in shaping how that team grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Tax Return division.

• Conduct final reviews of complex individual, partnership, and corporate returns for accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee team workflow, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

• Mentor and train preparers, planners, and reviewers to maintain firm standards.

• Review and approve tax strategies developed by the Tax Return division.

• Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, processes, and efficiency.

• Address and resolve complex tax issues and questions.

• Ensure all work reflects the firm’s values, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Support client relationships through clear communication and technical excellence.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax law.
