Tax Administration Supervisor –  Senior Prof Support - Tax

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Position Summary

The Tax Administration Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for the Buenos Aires Tax Administration team. The primary purpose of this team is to support BPM’s Tax Directors and Managing Directors, while partner administrative support remains in the U.S. This is a hands-on player / coach role overseeing Tax Administration Associates, not a pure people-management role. Reporting directly to the Tax Admin Leader, this role is responsible for workflow coordination, quality assurance, resource management, onboarding, training, and service delivery. The Supervisor partners closely with U.S.-based Tax Administration leadership to provide consistent, timely, and high-quality support to the Tax Practice.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Directly supervise, coach, and support a team of Tax Administration Associates.

  • Work as a hands-on player / coach by jumping in on coverage, escalations, training, and peak-period support as needed.

  • Assign each Associate with a defined portfolio of Directors and Managing Directors and keep cross-training and backup coverage in place across the team.

  • Assign, prioritize, and distribute work to meet service expectations and deadlines.

  • Monitor workload, capacity, utilization, schedules, and backup coverage across the team.

  • Provide regular feedback, guidance, and development support to team members.

  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused team environment.

Operational Management & Quality

  • Review completed work for accuracy, quality, timeliness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

  • Track productivity, turnaround times, service metrics, and workload trends.

  • Identify workflow risks, capacity concerns, and service issues, and escalate when appropriate.

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for operational, workload, quality, and service-related matters.

  • Support process improvements, documentation updates, and adoption of new tools and technology.

Training & Stakeholder Support

  • Coordinate onboarding, training, and cross-training for new and existing team members.

  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training or development opportunities.

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between the Buenos Aires team and the Tax Admin Leader.

  • Communicate priorities, deadlines, workload changes, and recurring concerns clearly and promptly.

  • Support Managing Director and Director services, tax engagement administration, and other approved Tax Administration work, stepping in directly when the team needs help.

Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Ensure compliance with BPM information security, confidentiality, privacy, and document-handling standards.

  • Reinforce proper handling, storage, and transmission of client and firm information.

  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and support audit or compliance needs.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supervising or leading an administrative, operational, shared services, or professional support team.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, coaching, and workload management skills.

  • Hands-on, player / coach leadership style, comfortable stepping in to support the team during busy periods.

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to service quality.

  • Experience in professional services, accounting, tax, legal, or consulting is preferred.
