About Empyrean Solutions:

Empyrean Solutions is the fastest growing financial risk management and performance solutions platform, specifically designed for banks and credit unions. Since 2008, we've been trusted by financial institutions across the globe to deliver cutting-edge ALM, budgeting, profitability analysis, and compliance tools through our unified Empyrean Data platform. Our solutions emphasize speed, accuracy, and ease of use to help financial institutions make faster, more informed decisions.

At Empyrean Solutions, you won't just have a seat at the table - you'll help build it. Every person here has a direct, visible impact on where we go next. You'll work alongside a genuinely collaborative team, backed by AI tools available to every employee from day one.

How your role contributes to our mission:

As Empyrean Solutions' first-ever Talent Partner, you'll build and execute a tech-forward, scalable talent acquisition program. Our people are core to our success - across our products, our clients, and our culture - and as a strategic partner to the business, you'll bring strong talent assessment skills, objective interview practices, and a high bar for hiring that ensures we get the right people in the right roles. You'll own the full TA program (recruitment process, assessment criteria, hiring team training, AI tool selection, and employer branding) as well as recruitment execution across the organization, balancing urgency with quality along the way. Your work will connect directly into broader HR and Talent initiatives with supportive programs that scale together. This role reports to the VP of Human Resources and partners closely with the People Team and Sr. Leaders to shape talent strategy company wide.

How your role expectations will progress as a Talent Partner in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in

  • Complete new hire orientation and gain the resources you need to succeed.

  • Learn how our products impact financial decision-makers at banks and credit unions, and how you'll help deliver great experiences for our customers.

  • Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and role-specific expectations.

  • Take over select in-flight searches, building relationships and trust with hiring managers, and beginning to influence the hiring process.

  • Demo AI sourcing tools and start building a framework that leverages agents, freeing up your time for the human touchpoints that matter most.

90 days in

  • Roll out a standardized recruitment process tailored to our organization's needs.

  • Speak confidently to Empyrean Solutions' value proposition and that of individual teams.

  • Leverage AI tooling to improve and accelerate solutions at the individual, team, and company level.

  • Identify gaps in talent assessment and close them through a more robust recruitment process and an objective behavioral evaluation.

  • Actively source and manage high-priority searches, reducing our reliance on staffing agency support.

180 days in

  • Influence hiring approach across multiple business functions.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve our recruiting process, candidate experience, and employer branding.

  • Use data and market insights to strengthen our ability to hire and retain great talent.

  • Contribute to broader HR and Talent initiatives as part of a cohesive People Team driving innovative, tech-forward people programming.

The skill set you bring:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated recruiting experience, with 3+ of those years in-house.

  • Experience recruiting in 2 or more of the following disciplines: technology, financial services, professional services, executive, or SaaS.

  • Track record of owning the entire hiring process end-to-end - sourcing, screening, structuring interviews, running debriefs, shaping offers, negotiating, and closing candidates.

  • Strong ability to assess both technical skill and behavioral fit, define clear hiring criteria, and coach interview panels toward consistent, well-reasoned decisions.

  • Skilled at building credibility with hiring managers and cross-functional partners - shaping hiring decisions, aligning expectations early, and using market data to keep the process moving.

  • Deep sourcing chops and a hunter mentality: building diverse, proactive pipelines and engaging passive candidates through creative, non-obvious channels and market research. Success in this role will come from filling reqs with sourced candidates.

  • Self-starter with a real bias for action – you love to replace ambiguity with consistency and predictability. It’s your program and you take pride in building it.

  • Sharp communicator and negotiator, organized enough to juggle multiple open reqs without dropping details.

  • Process-minded and growth minded - genuinely interested in using AI, automation, and data to scale recruiting and improve hiring outcomes.

Bonus skills & accomplishments:

  • You’ve truly built / owned a talent acquisition program or program component.

  • Your experience spans agency & in-house recruitment.

  • You’ve worked in a fast paced, scaling technology company.

  • You are technology forward. Beyond AI chat bots and prompt libraries you have explored and implemented automated work flows and don’t want to stop there.

  • International recruitment experience (our recruitment is primarily in the U.S. and Ireland)
