The Systems and Network Administrator will manage client network infrastructure, Windows and Linux servers, and Microsoft 365/Azure environments. They are responsible for ensuring system security, performing backups, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
Looking for a role where you'll own real infrastructure, not just close tickets? We're hiring a Systems and Network Administrator to be a key technical pillar for one of our client's managed IT environments - a role built for someone who wants genuine breadth: servers, networking, cloud, security, and direct client relationships, all in one seat.
About the Opportunity
Our client is an established IT services provider trusted by growing businesses to keep their technology running smoothly, securely, and aligned with what the business actually needs. With deep experience supporting large, complex infrastructure environments, their team is known for solving tough technical problems efficiently, without losing sight of the end-user experience.
What You'll Own
• Keep client network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) running at peak performance and security
• Own Windows and Linux server administration end-to-end - installations, updates, patching, and performance tuning
• Be the go-to for Microsoft 365 and Azure administration across licensing, Identity, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Purview
• Use modern RMM tooling to stay ahead of issues before they become incidents
• Build and maintain the security and compliance posture that keeps client data safe
• Own backup and disaster recovery planning, and make sure it actually works when it's tested
• Be the technical voice clients trust - solving problems and recommending smarter ways of doing things
• Keep documentation sharp and reporting clear, for both your team and your clients
• Partner with hardware and software vendors to get issues resolved fast
A big part of this role is genuinely deep Microsoft 365 / Azure work, not just a line on a checklist.
You'll be hands-on across licensing, Identity, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Purview, with real room to grow your cloud administration expertise.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems and network administration
• Strong, systems-first depth in Windows Server and Linux environments, plus solid core networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 / Azure administration experience
• MSP or multi-client support experience is a plus, but not a dealbreaker - what matters most is your hands-on depth
• Certifications like CCNA, MCSE, or CompTIA Network+ are a bonus, not a requirement
• Sharp troubleshooting, analysis, and diagnostic instincts
• Strong communication skills and a genuine client-facing, customer-service mindset
Why You'll Love This Role
• 100% remote - work from wherever you do your best work
• Real ownership across networking, systems, and cloud - not a narrow, siloed function
• A hiring process that respects your time: one interview, no technical assessments
• The chance to go deep on Microsoft 365 / Azure, one of the most in-demand skill sets in IT today
• Work alongside a hiring manager who's directly involved and responsive throughout the process
