Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.

The Senior Vice President, Strategic Intelligence is a senior executive responsible for advancing Tinuiti's Strategic Intelligence capability and expanding how intelligence informs strategy, planning, and senior client decision-making. This leader will serve as a trusted consultative partner to senior marketing and business executives, helping clients navigate complex questions around brand growth, marketing effectiveness, consumer behavior, audience opportunity, creative effectiveness, and media strategy. The SVP will bring together multiple forms of intelligence, including consumer and cultural understanding, audience data, brand research, media and creative signals, commerce intelligence, and measurement outputs, to create a more complete view of client business and marketing challenges. The role will help clients frame the right questions, connect evidence across traditionally separate disciplines, identify the implications that matter, and translate intelligence into clear strategic choices.

In addition to senior client counsel, the SVP will lead the continued evolution of Tinuiti's Strategic Intelligence capability within Strategic Planning. This includes developing intelligence frameworks and methodologies, advancing audience and consumer intelligence, strengthening approaches to brand and marketing effectiveness, and helping define how AI and emerging technologies can enable more sophisticated Strategy + Planning. The role will build on Tinuiti's existing Strategic Intelligence foundation while adding dedicated senior leadership focused on what the capability needs to become next.

The SVP will work in close partnership with Tinuiti's Measurement, Analytics, Product, Strategy, Planning, Investment, Commerce, Creative, and other capability leaders. Strategic Intelligence does not replace these disciplines or their areas of expertise. Instead, it connects and strategically applies their outputs alongside other sources of intelligence to help clients and planners make better decisions and get greater value from Tinuiti's broader capabilities. Working closely with Product and Technology, the SVP will lead the strategic knowledge and intelligence architecture that enables Tinuiti's AI-enabled Strategy + Planning capabilities. This leader does not need to be a technical builder, but should have sufficient product and technical fluency to define the domain expertise, knowledge structures, methodologies, context, and evaluation standards required to make AI-enabled strategic tools effective and differentiated.

New York City is the preferred location for this role. However, finding the right leader with the distinctive combination of Strategic Intelligence expertise, senior client credibility, and capability-building experience is the priority, and location flexibility is available for an exceptional candidate.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Executive Client Counsel: Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior marketing and business leaders on complex questions of brand growth, marketing effectiveness, audience opportunity, consumer behavior, creative effectiveness, and media strategy. Help clients frame the right questions, interpret evidence, identify implications, and make more confident strategic decisions.

  • Integrated Strategic Intelligence: Connect consumer, cultural, audience, brand, media, creative, commerce, and measurement intelligence to develop a more complete understanding of client business challenges and opportunities. Translate complex and sometimes conflicting signals into clear strategic implications and actionable recommendations.

  • Brand and Marketing Effectiveness: Help clients develop a broader understanding of how their marketing system contributes to brand and business growth. Connect brand, consumer, audience, creative, media, commerce, and measurement signals to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic and investment decisions.

  • Strategic Intelligence Capability Leadership: Define and advance the Strategic Intelligence capability roadmap, developing methodologies, frameworks, and approaches that expand the sophistication and differentiation of Tinuiti's Strategy + Planning offering.

  • Consumer and Audience Intelligence: Advance Tinuiti's approaches to consumer understanding, audience strategy, segmentation, audience opportunity, and growth intelligence by integrating qualitative and quantitative research, first- and third-party data, syndicated intelligence, behavioral signals, and other relevant sources.

  • Measurement and Analytics Partnership: Partner closely with Tinuiti's Measurement and Analytics leaders to ensure analytical and measurement outputs are effectively translated into strategic implications. Help shape the business and marketing questions intelligence should address while respecting the methodological and technical ownership of Tinuiti's Measurement and Analytics practices.

  • Strategic Knowledge Architecture: Own the domain expertise, methodologies, ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge structures, and intelligence frameworks required to power effective AI-enabled Strategy + Planning. Establish how strategic knowledge is structured, governed, connected, evaluated, and continuously improved so that AI-enabled tools and workflows can produce increasingly relevant, rigorous, and differentiated strategic outputs.

  • AI and Technology Partnership: Partner with Product and Technology to translate Strategic Planning's domain expertise and intelligence requirements into AI-enabled products, tools, and workflows. Define the knowledge, context, methodologies, and evaluation standards required for these solutions to perform effectively while maintaining flexibility across models, platforms, and technology partners as the AI ecosystem evolves.

  • Cross-Capability Integration: Work across Strategy, Planning, Measurement, Analytics, Product, Investment, Commerce, Creative, Data Science, and other capabilities to assemble the right expertise around complex client questions and create more integrated strategic solutions.

  • New Business and Growth: Bring Strategic Intelligence leadership to priority enterprise new-business opportunities, helping teams identify differentiated insights, develop compelling strategic narratives, and demonstrate how Tinuiti's intelligence capabilities can unlock new sources of client value and growth.

  • Thought Leadership and Market Presence: Develop provocative and useful perspectives on evolving consumer behavior, audiences, brand growth, marketing effectiveness, AI, media, and the changing nature of strategic decision-making. Represent Tinuiti with senior clients, prospects, partners, and the broader marketing and media community.

  • Capability and Talent Development: Build and develop a high-performing Strategic Intelligence capability and help strengthen intelligence fluency across the broader Strategic Planning practice. Establish standards of excellence for Strategic Intelligence and develop practitioners who can connect rigorous intelligence with strong strategic judgment.

  • Strong fluency in marketing measurement and analytics, with the ability to interpret sophisticated analytical outputs and translate them into strategic implications without needing to be the technical owner of measurement methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and frame the strategic questions that research, data, analytics, and measurement should help answer.

  • Experience working effectively across Strategy, Planning, Measurement, Analytics, Data Science, Product, Technology, Investment, Commerce, Creative, and other disciplines, with a track record of creating value across organizational boundaries.

  • Experience developing or governing domain knowledge architectures, proprietary intelligence systems, audience or research platforms, AI-enabled workflows, or related capabilities, with sufficient product and technical fluency to partner effectively with Product, Technology, and Data teams.

  • Strong understanding of the opportunities and limitations of AI in strategic and marketing applications, including how domain expertise, knowledge architecture, context, and evaluation can improve the quality and differentiation of AI-enabled strategic outputs.

  • Significant senior client and new-business experience, including the ability to simplify complex intelligence, develop compelling strategic narratives, and influence executive-level decisions.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing intelligence, insights, strategy, analytics, or multidisciplinary teams while building strong partnerships with adjacent capability leaders.

  • Exceptional curiosity and strategic judgment, with the ability to move fluidly between rigorous evidence, human understanding, business context, and creative strategic thinking.

  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to make complex information accessible, provocative, and actionable for executive audiences.

  • Ability to build senior relationships and represent Tinuiti credibly within the broader marketing, media, data, technology, and advertising community. Strong connectivity to the New York market is preferred but not required.
