We are seeking a flexible and adaptable Surge Recruiter to support our recruiting team on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone with an IT background or practical hands-on technical experience who can quickly evaluate candidate qualifications, align resumes to job requirements, and conduct initial video screenings.

Recruiting experience is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and able to quickly learn client requirements across a variety of technical roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate resumes against client job descriptions
  • Identify technical skill alignment and relevant experience
  • Conduct initial video interviews with candidates to assess communication skills, technical background, and overall fit
  • Provide clear screening notes and recommendations to the recruiting team
  • Adapt quickly to different IT roles, technologies, and client needs
  • Maintain flexibility to support recruiting efforts across multiple U.S. time zones

Required Qualifications

  • Prior IT recruiting experience or practical hands-on IT work experience
  • Strong understanding of technical roles, terminology, and skillsets
  • Ability to compare resumes against technical job requirements and identify strong matches
  • Comfortable conducting professional video interviews
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible availability to support urgent and changing hiring needs
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to multiple client environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing, talent acquisition, or technical interviewing
  • Experience supporting government, consulting, or enterprise IT roles
  • Familiarity with common technologies such as cloud, networking, cybersecurity, software development, or ERP systems
