Supporter Experience Coordinator

Supporter Experience | Sunshine Coast, Queensland | Full-time, Office/Remote

Help make every fundraiser feel supported, valued and inspired to make a difference.

Behind every great fundraiser is someone cheering them on. Destiny Rescue Australia is seeking a Supporter Experience Coordinator to own our peer-to-peer and community fundraising day to day, encouraging everyday Australians as they raise funds to rescue and restore children around the world.

About Destiny Rescue

Destiny Rescue is a Christian-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing children from human trafficking and sexual exploitation and equipping them to stay free. Our teams work across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, delivering rescue and reintegration programs that help vulnerable children move towards safety, freedom and a better future. Our Sunshine Coast office supports this work globally, bringing together teams across fundraising, partnerships, operations and support to help grow our impact.

About the Role

Step into a role where your people skills can help make rescue possible. As our Supporter Experience Coordinator, you’ll report to the Head of Supporter Experience, welcoming, supporting and encouraging fundraisers and community groups while delivering a personal and values-aligned supporter journey and helping grow the income that makes rescue possible. This is a role where your care for people directly fuels the rescue of children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Peer-to-Peer and Community Fundraising: Own the day-to-day delivery of our peer-to-peer and community fundraising, including supporter-led campaigns, challenges and events. Recruit, welcome and support fundraisers so they can reach their goals, and coordinate third-party fundraising platforms.
  • Supporter Journey and Stewardship: Deliver timely, personal communication to fundraisers and supporters, respond to enquiries promptly and professionally, and find opportunities to deepen giving and engagement.
  • Campaigns and Events Support: Support the planning and delivery of national campaigns, appeals and events, including donor thank-you events, tours and screenings, and help keep our fundraising materials consistent with the Supporter Experience team.
  • CRM, Data and Reporting: Keep accurate records in Salesforce, handle supporter information with confidentiality and care, and track and report on fundraising activity, income and engagement against agreed targets.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Work closely with Supporter Experience, Partnerships and other teams, and contribute ideas to improve our processes and fundraising initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a people person who enjoys encouraging others. You communicate with warmth and clarity, stay organised across many moving parts, and take pride in making every supporter feel valued. You are comfortable with data and systems, and you look for ways to make things work better.

You are motivated by more than a role. You have a genuine heart for the issue of child exploitation, and you want to use your gifts to contribute to Destiny Rescue's Christian mission and the impact it has on vulnerable children around the world.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a fundraising, supporter engagement, events or community engagement role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with peer-to-peer or community fundraising.
  • Understanding of supporter journeys, stewardship and relationship-based engagement.
  • Experience handling confidential supporter information with care.
  • Familiarity with third-party fundraising platforms, such as Raisely.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Destiny Rescue's Christian mission, vision and values.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to contribute to an organisation making a measurable global impact for vulnerable children.
  • Work with an internationally recognised organisation with a clear and compelling mission.
  • A supportive Supporter Experience team and a role where your encouragement makes a real difference.
  • Full-time position with the flexibility to work from our Sunshine Coast head office or remotely.
  • Salary sacrificing benefits.
