Support Officer - Aged Care

About the role

The Support Officer - Aged and Community Care supports entry-level (non-clinical) digital, in-home, and community-based aged and community care programs to support participants to maintain social connectedness and independence.

Working as part of an integrated Nationwide Aged and Community Care team, the role will collaborate with functional teams including Intake, Quality, Operations, and Finance, to ensure our programs are informed by participant choice, provide dignity and respect, and are responsive to identity, culture and diversity. The role will also coordinate, supervise, train and support a large volunteer workforce.

What you will bring

• Demonstrated ability to follow and implement Frameworks, policies, procedures, work instructions, guidelines and standards.
• Sound understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable principles
• Ability to demonstrate initiative; work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent records management and general administration skills
• Solve work related problems of limited difficulty using knowledge, judgement and work skills
• Thorough knowledge in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteers.
• Sound knowledge and experience in using software applications including databases, client management systems, mobile/tablet applications, and Microsoft suite of programs.
